POONCH, Feb 28: The leg of a villager was blown up in a powerful land mine blast in Bhagial Dhara area, near the Line of Control (LoC) in district Poonch this afternoon.
A police spokesman said that incident took place when 50-year-old Shamas Din, son of Lal Hussain, resident of Bhagial Dhara had gone for grazing his cattle in the forest area, near the Line of Control. Suddenly, he over-stepped a land- mine which exploded with big bang, causing extensive injuries to his legs. One of his limbs was blown up in the mishap. He was rushed to Poonch hospital and later referred to GMC Hospital Jammu.
