REASI, July 17: A villager was killed after a tree fell on him in Arnas area of district Reasi today.
A police spokesman said that mishap took place when 2-3 people were busy in felling a tree at village Darote in Arnas area today. There was a marriage function at the village after few days and the villagers were collecting fire wood for this purpose.
The two villagers were cutting tree and one Prem Singh, son of Punjabu was standing nearby. Suddenly the tree fell down on Prem and he died on the spot due to head injury. He was taken to Arnas hospital by others but he was declared as brought dead. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
