Vikramaditya reviews preparations for annual Mela Kheer Bhawani

SRINAGAR, May 9: Former MLC and Trustee, J&K Dharmarth Trust, Vikramaditya Singh, today visited Mata Kheer Bhawani Shrine at Ganderbal and reviewed the preparations for the annual Mela Kheer Bhawani scheduled to be held on June 22, 2026.
During visit, the Trustee offered prayers for peace, prosperity, communal harmony and the well-being of the people of J&K.
He interacted with the temple functionaries and officials of J&K Dharmarth Trust and took detailed stock of the ongoing arrangements being made for the Mela.
Vikramaditya Singh reviewed preparations being undertaken by J&K Dharmarth Trust in coordination with District Administration, Ganderbal, for the convenience and safety of the devotees expected to arrive from different parts of the country.
Detailed discussions were held on sanitation, drinking water facilities, uninterrupted power supply, accommodation, medical aid and security arrangements.
The Trustee also called on the Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal and held a detailed meeting on various developmental and infrastructural matters pertaining to Mata Kheer Bhawani Shrine and its adjoining areas. The discussions focused on augmentation of pilgrim facilities, strengthening of civic infrastructure, maintenance of cleanliness and ensuring environmental protection around the shrine.
Vikramaditya appreciated the support and cooperation being extended by the District Administration, Ganderbal for the Mela.
