JAMMU, Nov 11:- Construction work of lanes and drains has been started in Ward No.7, Jammu East in presence of president district Congress Committee Jammu Urban , Vikram Malhotra, local corporator, Ritu Choudhary and prominent citizens of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Vikram Malhotra said that the development works in Jammu were on grand-halt and the lanes & drains are in dilapidated condition, causing great inconvenience to the inhabitants. “We have been highlighting the same time and again. The JMC has now provided the funds and work of construction of Wazir Masih-Prakash Masih lane with the cost of 8.5 lac and entrance gate Rs. 4.5 lac has started in phase first and it is hoped that JMC would provide more funds for the development of the area”.
He appreciated the efforts of local Corporator Ritu Choudhary who has been taking up the problems of people with the concerned authorities, regularly but due to non-availability of funds for development and lack of Safai Karamcharies, the hygiene and sanitation is getting hampered. Vikram said that Congress party is fully committed to the people of the State for development and progress. He urged upon all the Congress corporators to deliver according to the wishes of the people and Congress will strive to serve the people of the State even while in opposition. While speaking on the occasion Ritu Choudhary Corporator of Ward No.7 assured the people of the Christian Colony that all the pending works of the are will be taken up immediately so that the work can be completed before the festival of Christians. She also thanked the community for their cooperation and help.
