SAMBA, July 3: Vijaypur police has arrested one bootlegger and recovered 50 bottles (180 ml each) of illicit liquor in its jurisdiction.
Acting on specific information, a police party of Police Station, Vijaypur headed by Inspector, Chaman Gorkha, SHO under the supervision of Baljeet Singh, SDPO, Vijaypur intercepted one person namely Ishan Singh, S/o Dalip Singh of Bandhral, Ramgarh who was carrying the illicit liquor for selling among the people of the area and to make illegitimate profits.
During checking, a total of 50 bottles of 180 ml each of illicit liquor were recovered from his possession. The accused person was arrested and the contraband items were also seized.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 103/2019 US 48 (A) Excise Act has been registered at P/S Vijaypur and further investigation started.
