Vibodh visits Pargalta Tribal Basti, interacts with people

JAMMU, Dec 2: BJP J&K general secretary and former MLC, Vibodh Gupta today visited Pargalta Tribal Basthi, largely inhabited by the Bakerwal Tribe along with BJP ST Morcha UT president, Chowdery Haroon Bakerwal and senior BJP leader, Ayodhya Gupta. His visit is being viewed as a part of a major Tribal outreach programme by the BJP.
While interacting with the Bakerwal people Vibodh said that now the Tribal communities in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir have full faith in the Union Government as benefits of the Centre and local administration welfare measures have started reaching them after the abrogation of Article 370. He asserted that the successive NC-PDP Governments placed special discrimination against tribal communities under the disguise of special status. However, they feel dignified and empowered under the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi-led BJP Government, he added.
Enumerating the welfare measures taken for the Nomadic Tribes of J&K after the abrogation of Article 370, he said that the salaries of seasonal teachers have been increased which are employed specially for Tribal children. He further highlighted the implementation of forest rights, revocation of the ban on inter-district recruitment, political reservation and empowerment, and other measures taken for Tribal welfare by the BJP-led Central Government.
BJP ST Morcha UT president, Chowdery Haroon Bakerwal also expressed his gratitude towards the policies of the Central Government and said that the policy of Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas aur Sabka Vishwas has benefitted the downtrodden Tribal communities the most. He also highlighted the benefits that the Bakerwal community have received under the BJP Government and told that the number of mobile schools has also increased for the education of children of nomadic tribes.
Speaking on the occasion senior BJP leader Ayodhya Gupta said that earlier Nomadic Tribes in Jammu and Kashmir were exploited by successive governments led by PDP, National Conference, and Congress while Bharatiya Janata Party-led Central Government has acknowledged their miseries, and has vowed to resolve them ensuring their overall growth and development.
