Vibodh Gupta kick starts work on pathway

RAJOURI, June 5: Member Legislative Council, Advocate Vibodh Gupta, today kick started the construction of path from main ground Degree College to Auditorium.
Rs 5 lakh have been sanctioned by the MLC from his CDF for construction of this path, which was a long pending demand of students of Govt Post Graduate Degree College Rajouri, who were suffering a lot due to its dilapidated condition.
Speaking on the occasion, Vibodh Gupta said that he had fulfilled his announcement made in the inaugural function of workshop held in auditorium of the College. He further said that promotion of Education sector was the top priority of the coalition Government in general and of Education Minister in particular. He said that development must be such that it positively transforms the lives of the common people and youth of the nation as well.
Gupta said that he would always extend all possible help to the Educational Institutions of the District and will try to resolve their pending issues, as he is here to work for the welfare of public, among which students shall always be preferred.
The MLC stressed that he wanted complete development of Rajouri district and in the first phase, face lifting of Rajouri town has been taken up, where streets and foot roads were in ramshackle and there was no development visible on ground in the town for the last 10 years.
Later on the request of warden of Girls Hostel, Mr Gupta also inspected the functioning of Girls Hostel. The warden of the hostel, also requested for the construction of compound wall around the Hostel to ensure the security.
The MLC issued on the spot directions to the AEE, PWD (R&B) Division Rajouri for the preparation of DPR and assured the college Principal that he shall take up the matter for the release of funds at the earliest.
