JAMMU, Dec 10: State Unit of VHP has criticized the Union Government for its lenient approach towards Pakistan especially at diplomatic level.
Referring to yesterday’s meeting of Indian Foreign Minister, Sushma Swaraj with Pakistani, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharief at a press conference here today, VHP patron, Dr Rama Kant Dubey took serious exception to violation of protocol by Pakistan for not hoisting Indian Flag along with Pak flag during the meeting.
Though it has been termed an informal talk but courtesy demands that Indian Flag should have also been given due respect and honour by hoisting it along the Pak flag, he said, adding this is not the first time that Pakistan has downplayed India but several times in pas the practice has been repeated.
Dr Dubey said right from partition of Indian Sub Continent, Pakistan on every occasion tried to humiliate India. During the visit of former Pak president Pervez Musharraf to Ajmer Sharief where the then Chief Minister of Rajasthan was waiting to receive him, Mr Musharraf did not care for that and left. Even in the plane in which he visited to Ajmer, the Indian flag was hoisted reverse, he added.
Likewise during the visit of Mr Musharraf to Agra for the talks with Indian leaders, the paintings depicting Krishan Leela were removed from the walls of a hotel where the Pak President was staying, he said.
