VHP opposes withdrawal of Indian troops from DBO

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, May 10: Vishav Hindu Parishad (VHP) today said though Chinese incursion in the Indian territory, crossing LAC,  establishment of five tents, regular supplies and surveillance of the area by Chinese helicopters at Doulat -Baig Olidi was shocking, the withdrawal of troops by India from DBO in a sudden development is even much more shocking than this.
“The Government should reveal the facts and let the people know that under what conditions it pushed back its troops from LAC”, VHP State president, Dr Rama Kant Dubey told reporters here today.
The China had to withdraw its troops from DOB at any cost as it had made incursion in the area but there was no logic in withdrawal of troops by India from its own territory, he added.
He said the Government should let people know under what conditions it withdrew its troops. Terming the withdrawal of troops as surrender, Dr Dubey said this way the Government played with the national interests and the sentiments of the people.
He said the Government should shun such policies which are inimical to national interests.
Dr Dubey said after losing the 1962 war with China the then Chief of Army Staff General Thaemia constituted a two member Committee of Lt General Anderson Brooks and Brigadier P S Bhagat in 1963 to find out the reasons of losing the war with China but the findings of the Committee were never brought before the public saying that the same was not in the interest of the nation.
He said today also GOI has surrendered before China and kept the people in dark.
VHP general secretary, Dr Shyam Gupta and its city president G D Pandey were also present in the press conference.
