JAMMU, May 10: Royal Challengers Doda (RCD) trounces Firdous Eleven Doda by 3 wickets in the inaugural match of All India 9th Gufran Memorial T-20 Cricket Championship 2013 which commenced on at Sports Stadium, here today
Minister for R&B and Mechanical Engineering Jammu and Kashmir, Abdul Majid Wani was the chief guest who also inaugurated this prestigious and grand cricket tournament of Jammu and Kashmir while 2IC 10 RR Tanay Kothiyal was the guest of honour.
The inaugural match was played between Firdous Eleven Doda and Royal Challengers Doda. Batting first after winning the toss, Firdous Eleven scored a total of 124 runs by loosing all their wickets. Anwar scored 30 runs while Irfan who also contributed 16 runs for his team. From RCD, Izhar and Jaffar took 3 and 2 wickets respectively.
While chasing the target of 125 runs, Royal Challengers Doda chased the target in 17 overs by losing their 7 wickets. Wasif was the highest from RCD who scored 37 runs with the help of 1 six and 3 fours followed by Vijay who contributed 35 runs for his team. From Firdous Eleven Doda, Noushair and Imran shared 2 wickets each.
