RAJOURI, Apr 19: Thanamandi police seized a vehicle loaded with seven bovine animals and arrested its driver on Rajouri-Thanamandi road during last night.
Official sources said that a police party from Tanamandi, led by SHO, Javed Malik, intercepted a Tata Mobile vehicle with registration number JK12A/ 4716 at Traffic Control Post, on the outskirts of the town at around 2.30 am and found seven bovine animals loaded in it. The driver tried to escape but was over powered by the cops.
He has been identified as Mohd Latief, son of Nazir Hussain of Behrote in Rajouri. The vehicle was seized and cattle rescued. A case FIR No. 39/ 2019 has been registered against the accused.
