RAJOURI, Feb 11: The Police seized a vehicle carrying some material of Thermal power plant Kalakote under suspicious conditions and arrested the driver of the vehicle.
Reports said on Monday morning, a team of police headed by SHO Kalakote Insp Mustaj Ahmed under the supervision of SDPO Nowshera Brijesh Sharma and Additional SP, GL Sharma laid a routine traffic checking naka near Kalakote town at Mehari on main road.
During checking, the team intercepted a Tata Mobile bearing registration No. JK02FC/ 0460 and cops conducted physical frisking from which some material of thermal power plant Kalakote was recovered. These items include copper and iron material.
The driver namely Vishal Singh, son of Swarn Singh, resident of Raipur Satwari, Jammu failed to give any satisfactory account of the material. The vehicle was immediately seized and driver was taken to custody.
Further an FIR No 09/2019 u/s 380 RPC has been registered at Police Station Kalakote.
Further investigation is going on and involvement of some officials of concerned department cannot be ruled out, the police said.
