RAMBAN, June 3: A man lost his life after the vehicle he was driving veered off the road and plunged into a deep gorge along Nachilana-Badarkoot link road in Ramsu area last night.
As per Police, a car of Maruti Suzuki EeCO make bearing registration number JK19A-5276 met with an accident on the hilly stretch of Shagun road near Badarkote Nallah leaving one person dead.
The deceased was identified as Wasim Ahmed, 21, son of Mohammad Qasim, resident of Hingni, Ramsu.
Immediately after the accident, Police and locals of the area launched a rescue operation and retrieved the body of the deceased and shifted it to Primary Health Centre Ramsu this morning for medico-legal formalities.
After completion of necessary procedures, the body was handed over to the family members for last rites.
Police has taken cognizance of the incident and started investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
