VC SKUAST-K calls on Governor

SRINAGAR, July 19: Dr. Tej Pratap, Vice-Chancellor, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir, called on Governor N.N. Vohra, Chancellor of the University, here at the Raj Bhavan today.
Dr. Pratap, who is completing his tenure as Vice Chancellor of this leading State Farm University next week, briefed the Chancellor in detail about the achievements of this institution in the past years, particularly in regard to the development of the Campus and the construction of the much needed space for housing office, academic, teaching, research, and hostel and guest house facilities.
Dr. Pratap also informed the Chancellor about the development of the faculties, Colleges and Deaneries and the notable advances gained in the teaching and research arenas. He also informed about the gaps in various areas which still required time-bound attention, including the completion of certain Plan funded building complexes.
The Chancellor lauded the leadership role which was successfully played by Dr. Pratap, taking the University to secure the, 2nd and 3rd all India rankings in the number of fellowships secured by the students of SKUAST in the past few years.
He wished Dr. Pratap a very useful professional career ahead and urged him to keep in touch with SKUAST.
