JAMMU, Apr 3: Choudhary Manmohan Singh, Vice Chairman (VC), J&K Medical Supplies Corporation Limited (JKMSCL), today paid a surprise visit to JKMSCL Regional Drug Ware House, Nagrota and took stock of activities being carried out in the store.
The VC, who was accompanied by Inder Jeet, Managing Director, JKMSCL, Vivek Phonsa, General Manager, Jammu and other officers, gave on spot directions to the concerned Medical Officer to ensure punctuality of staff so that drugs, disposables, hospital furniture and other life saving drugs are properly received and distributed to end users for its further use in the patient care areas after proper quality check from the JKMSCL accredited NABL Labs.
Manmohan also issued directions for expedition for hassle free functioning of Regional Drug Ware House Nagrota, after observing requisite codal formalities such as installation of biometric attendance on the main entrance of the Ware House and installation of CC Camera in and around it so that proper monitoring of inward and outward of drugs is ensured while keeping the premises neat and clean.
He also passed directions to General Manager-Jammu to take up the matter with Chief Engineer, R&B Jammu who was the executing agency of the ware house for installation of lift, Gen set and Cold Chain Man-agement Room.
Further, VC directed the Managing Director, JKMSCL to take strict action against the late comers and to keep the register at entry point of the Corporation Headquarter Jammu as well as Regional Drug Ware Houses so that the employees are ensured to enter their in and out timing on the register.
The VC also instructed the officers that no medicines should be expired and if it happens, the sole responsibility will be of the person involved in the process.
