VC inspects term end examination arrangements

JAMMU, Sept 14: Vice Chancellor of Cluster University of Jammu, Prof Manoj Dhar today inspected examination centres of the Constituent Colleges and Schools of the University for conducting term end examination of UG semester-VI and PG semester-IV.
During the inspection, he directed all the In-charge of examination centres to adherence with the SOPs issued by the MHRD and Ministry of Health.
All the Deans and Principals of the respective institutions apprised the VC that strict compliance of sanitation and fumigation procedures, the availability of masks, sanitizers, gloves, six feet physical distancing have already been ensured.
The first day of the examination witnessed a smooth conduct with student percentage of different constituent colleges varying from 50 to 80 percent and 100 percent in some academic programmes. Only 40% of students have been accommodated in one centre as per the guidelines by the MHRD to ensure the safety of the students.
“All the entrances have mandatory hand hygiene and thermal screening provisions. Entry and exit gates are being strictly monitored to avoid overcrowding both at the commencement and conclusion of the exam. Students were asked to carry their Admit cards, ID cards, face masks, water bottles, hand sanitizers and stationery as sharing of personal belongings has not been allowed,” the statement read as.
“Students who were unable to appear in the first phase of the examination due to unavoidable circumstances have been given an option to appear in the second phase which shall be held in the online / offline mode as already notified on the University website,” the statement further read.
The Vice- Chancellor was accompanied by Dr Jatinder Khajuria, Registrar CLUJ and Dr Mushtaq Lone, Controller Examination CLUJ.
