JAMMU, Sept 14: People especially the morning walkers are suffering as authorities have failed to repair a link road, which connects Har Ki Pauri in Bagh-e-Bahu with Jammu-Srinagar National Highway by-pass and got damaged due to rainfall recently.

Mudslides have made the condition of the road deplorable but the concerned department has not initiated any step to remove the same, to make the road fit for the people.
“The concerned department is not taking any action to make this road safe for the commuters”, the morning walkers said while talking to the EXCELSIOR, adding that after recent rainfall, the mudslides came down on the road, but the Public Works Department (PWD) is not taking any action on war footing to remove them”.
Official of Public Works Department (PWD) said that damage report of the road has been sent to the higher authorities and once they get approval, the road will be repaired. However, Junior Engineer (JE) has been directed to clear the mudslide from the road, he added.
