JAMMU, May 10: Vice Chairman, Jammu Development Authority, Satesh Nehru, along with team of senior officers of JDA comprising Superintending Engineer, Chief Town Planner and Director Land Management, Executive Engineer, Div. I, visited Bahu Plaza and enquired about the problems being faced by the shopkeepers.
A delegation of shopkeepers association of Bahu Plaza also met the Vice Chairman and presented their grievances like insufficient parking place for their vehicles, poor sanitation, unjustified hike in monthly rent on lease hold basis allotments from May 2009 onwards etc.
The VC assured them full cooperation for meeting their genuine demands well in time.
He also directed the Director Land Management/ Executive Engineer and Chief Khilafwarzi Officer JDA to pay regular visit to the Plaza to solve the parking problems being faced by the allottees and remove encroachments, if any.
The VC also assured the delegation that the increase of 150% hike in monthly rent will be examined for necessary action .
