Vasundhara stakes claim for Govt in Raj ; Oath on Dec 13

JAIPUR, Dec 10:
The newly-elected BJP legislature party leader Vasundhara Raje today staked claim for formation of the new Government in Rajasthan that is set to assume the office on December 13.
Ms Raje accompanied by a party delegation comprising  Leader of the Opposition in dissolved assembly Gulab Chand Kataria, Bhupendra Yadav and Onkar Singh Lakhawat, met Governor Margaret Alva for staking formally the claim for formation of the party led Government.
‘The swearing-in ceremony would be held on December 13’,  Ms Raje said after meeting the Governor.
Galaxy of dignitaries from the country, including BJP President Rajnath Singh and other party leaders, Chief Ministers of several States, would attend the ceremony, she said.
Ms Raje, who was projected as the Chief Ministerial  candidate of the party several months ago, was formally elected the leader of the legislature party here last evening. The BJP has staged a come back in the State after a gap of five years, winning 162 of the 199 assembly seats filled through the December 1 elections. (UNI)
