Taj declares Athletic C’ship closed

JAMMU, Dec 10: Minister for Medical Education, Youth Services & Sports, Taj Mohi-ud-Din today declared the J&K State Athletic Championship closed.
The two day athletic championship was inaugurated yesterday.
On the occasion, the Minister gave away prizes and commendations to participant athletes besides sports journalist who have been covering the championship. He appreciated sports journalist for carrying the sports activities in their newspapers, channels and other media which breeds a healthy competition among the youth.
Speaking on the occasion, Taj said the Government is giving sports activities a turnaround and the sports infrastructure in the State is being given a re-look.
The Minister said indoor sports complexes are being constructed in every block of the State and every village Panchayat would have a sports field.
