Various institutions celebrate Christmas with fervour, zeal

JAMMU, Dec 24: Various institutions celebrated Christmas with enthusiasm, zeal and fervour, here today.
Jammu and Kashmir Christian Association, organized Christmas (X-mas) Charitable function on the eve of Christmas at Mother Teressa Home (Ashram) today. President of the Association, Waris Gill was the chief guest on the occasion, while Pardeep Bali, NC leader was the guest of honour. Christmas cake and snacks were distributed among the Orphans, Widows, Destitutes and Handicaps on the occasion.
Dogra HSS Shastri Nagar, Jammu celebrated Christmas and New Year with enthusiasm and fervour today.  The programme was held under the supervision of Principal Davinder Kour. Managing Director, Gambhir Dev Singh Charak while speaking on the occasion threw light on the life of Jesus Christ. The students presented colourful cultural programme on the occasion. Vote of thanks was presented by School Principal, Nirmala Koul.
Bhargava Public School Samba celebrated Christmas  and Eid-i-Milad-un-Nabi with pomp and show. The primary wing students came in the costumes of ‘Fairy’ and ‘Santa Claus’ and were special attraction of the day. The children sang “Jingle Bells” and danced in festive mood. The Principal of the School, Vivek Arora highlighted the importance of Eid and Christmas occasion.
To celebrate Christmas, Madhuvan Kids visited the old age home and tried their level best to cheer up the people who are homeless or who have been left by their own children. Kids celebrated Christmas and New Year with great enthusiasm. Principal, Amrit Choudhary welcomed the old people.
In order to celebrate the spirit of Christmas and New Year, a colourful programme was organized by Trikuta Deep High School, Old Janipur Road Jammu here today.
The event was glorified under the supervision of Principal of the school, Deepshikha Katal. A celestial prayer dance by students of School brought divine flavour to the event which was followed splendid performance of the student of the school.
ASN Hr Secondary School, Resham Ghar Colony and Channi Himmat today celebrated Eid-i-Milad-un-Nabi and Christmas with great zeal and enthusiasm in their school premises. The programme was started by lighting of the candle by the chief guest, P B Kapoor, Principal at Resham Ghar Branch while Ritesh Kapoor, Administrator was the chief guest at Channi Himmat branch.
The students participated in various programmes with great enthusiasm. The programme began with the Gift Wrapping Competition, in which students participated actively.
The presence of Santa Claus was the main attraction for the students and others.
On this occasion, Principal Kiran Raina threw light on the importance of the festival.
National Incredible Literacy Mission, Jammu celebrated Christmas with religious fervour and gaiety, at zonal head quarter, Patel Bazaar ,Jammu.
National Incredible Literacy Mission, Jammu, J&K celebrated Christmas with fanfare today. Various group activities and competitions were held among students of the various classes. Young toddlers dressed in Santa Claus and red attires looked wonderful. In group activity, children were involved in drawing, painting and decorating green and white Christmas trees. Rakeshwar Singh, Project Director, National Incredible Literacy Mission, Jammu was also present during the function.
Wonder World School, Trikuta Nagar and Gandhi Nagar celebrated Christmas today with great enthusiasm. Students came dressed as Santa Claus and angels. Christmas tree was decorated in the school with stars and gifts and Christmas carols echoed all around.
Vishwa Bharati Public Hr. Secondary School, Akalpur Morh Udheywalla celebrated ‘Merry Christmas’ with pomp and show today. A special morning assembly was organised in the campus for the celebration. Jesus Christ and fairies displayed their enthralling dance on the song “Jingle Bell, Jingle Bell”. The School Principal, Prof Annapurna Koul wished Merry Christmas to all teachers and students and advised them to follow the pious path of life shown by the Jesus Christ.
Jammu Sanskriti School celebrated Christmas by singing Carols, Dancing on tunes of Jingles bells in an impressive function today. The budding artists painted Santa Clause with their little hands. Anju Mehta, Director EMI and Sushita Gupta, Principal of Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua were present on the occasion.  School Principal cum Vice Chairperson,Rohini Aima also participated  in the celebrations.
Kids Planet, Vikas Lane, Puran Nagar, organized a merry visit to St. Marys Garrison Church, Gandhi Nagar on the special eve of Merry Christmas.  Children lightened the candles and learnt the art of praying. Rejoice was doubled due to the presence of Santa at the holy Church.
Sprawling Buds School, Laxmipuram, Bantalab organized various competitions on the occasion of Christmas in the school premises. A show and tell competition was organized for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd classes in which students spoke on the topic, “Christmas Tree and Santa Claus. Principal of the school, Puja Sharma announced the names of the winners of the various competitions.
Cooperative Public High School Ambphalla, Jammu organized Fun Fair Festival in School premises to celebrate Christmas and New Year. The festival/Mela was inaugurated by chief guest, Advocate Ramesh Arora, BJP State vice-president & MLC, in presence of Administrator Cooperative Society Deputy Registrar Mukesh Thappa who was Guest at honour. School Headmaster, Veenu Prabhakar alongwith staff members were the part of celebrations.
A Chirstmas function was organized by KidZee Preschool Ramgarh, Zee learn limited. The Coordinator of the school, Anu Gupta was the chief guest. The function started with the lighting of the lamp. The counsellor of the school, Sukhjit Kaur presented welcome address, while the Associate Counsellor, Pinki Gupta presented a vote of the thanks.
On the eve of Christmas, a colourful programme was organised by  Shree Sai Gurukul, The Playway School, Lakhdatta Bazar, in the school premises here today.
On the occasion, the children of the school wearing colourful dresses including some of them dressed as Santa Claus presented variety of cultural items and song performances.
Speaking on the occasion, chairperson of the school, Anu Bala Gupta explained the students about the significance of the day. Patron of the school, Krishna Gupta was also present on the occasion.
Shemrock Kids World Paloura celebrated Christmas and New Year today. The programme began with song and dance by the children. All the children participated actively. A poem recitation competition was also organized on the occasion. Headmaster Shweta Sharma and  Rattan Singh the Director of the School distributed the prize among the students.
GLS Public School, Amar Colony, Talab Tillo, Jammu celebrated Christmas today. Children came in colourful dresses and were briefed about Christmas and Jesus Christ and His teachings.  On this occasion, cakes were cut and collective birthdays of children of kindergarten classes were celebrated. The children were given other refreshment too including chips and chocolates.They sang songs and danced to celebrate the day.
Rich Harvest School, Bari Brahmana celebrated Christmas today in the school premises with great pomp and show. The boys were dressed as Santa and girls as Fairies and looked godly. Kids danced and sang carols. Principal, Rasvinder Kour threw light on the birth of Christ and his message for mankind. Tanvi Manhotra organized the event. The Trustee, Ruchi Charak and The manager,  Gambhir Dev Singh Charak wished the students Merry Christmas.
Dewan Devi HSS, Rajpura celebrated Christmas with great enthusiasm today. Students of Kindergarten wing attired in Santa Claus dresses distributed sweets and chocolates among the students. The Principal of the School delivered impressive lecture on the birth of Jesus on the occasion.
SD Tara Pura Public High School organized an inter-class drawing completion to celebrate Christmas in the school premises today. Principal Neeru Puri and Vice Principal, Saroj Goel judged the sheets and declared Rishi Mehra, Mehak Karloopia and Mohit Sharma as 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.
RM Public School celebrated Christmas with great zeal and enthusiasm in the School premises today. The programme began with lighting of the candle by the chief guest, Rita Mengi, Trustee of the School. Students presented various dancing items on the occasion. Nisha Bandral presented welcome address, while the vote of thanks was presented by Shweta Gupta. Principal Ravinder Kour greeted the students on the occasion.
Kids Kudose Public School, Lower Shiv Nagar, Jammu celebrated Christmas Festival with great zeal and fervour in the School premises. Students were in fancy dresses and Santa Claus distributed sweets and gifts among the children. Principal, Pratibha Duggal highlighted the life of Jesus Christ in her speech on the occasion.
