KARGIL, Aug 30: Many delegations met LG Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr.) B.D Mishra (Retd.) and raised certain demands.
President, All Zanskar Students Association, Tenzin Tsedup called on Lieutenant Governor (LG) Mishra at Zanskar and apprised him of various issues like early recruitment against vacant posts in various government departments, establishment of Ladakh Public Service Commission and granting of district status to Zanskar Sub-Division etc.
The LG said that the Administration was working to resolve the recruitment related issues and the vacant posts will be filled on priority basis.
A delegation of Dental Surgeons also called on the LG and demanded extension of their services and their adjustment under National Health Mission.
The LG directed Director Health Services, Ladakh to examine the case.
The Headmaster of Government High School, Tangsoo called on the LG and requested him to fill up the vacant teaching and non-teaching posts at the school. He also demanded central heating system for the school for the ease and convenience of the students during winter months.
The LG assured him to provide all possible assistance in this regard.
A delegation comprising Community Information Centre operators called on the LG and demanded enhancement of their salaries.
The LG directed Secretary, Rural Development Department, Ladakh, to examine the case.
Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Shrikant Suse; Sub Divisional Magistrate, Zanskar, Sonam Dojay and Dy.SP DAR, Kargil, Stanzin were also present in the meeting.
