This refers to the inauguration of ‘Vande Bharat Express’ by Home Minister Amit Shah.
There is no doubt that the world class, faster and state of the-Art-train from New Delhi to Katra can go a long way in boosting the pilgrim tourism in Jammu.The need for such a long train had been long felt by the devotees as the old trains would take much time which a person can’t afford during these days. Besides, the pilgrims won’t get railway tickets easily due to heavy rush of pilgrims. Now the Vande Bharat Express would reduce the rush, and pilgrims would have a chance to visit the holy shrine of Vaishno Devi.
Further, the train is another milestone in the history of Jammu and Kashmir Railways. It may not be out of context to mention here that railways network in the State is expanding slowly and steadily. The day is not for when Railways will reach Ladakh, the remotest part of the country.
Vande Bharat Express is also a testimony of India’s growing self reliance in modern Technology, and a step towards modernisation of Railways.
