SRINAGAR, Sept 29: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Abdul Ghani Vakil has expressed serious concern over the removal of original foundation stone of District Hospital building at Baramulla laid by former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad on March 25, 2008 and installing of new one with the name of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
In a press statement issued today, Vakil termed it as a cheap act and demanded that matter should be investigated properly as who were the people behind removing Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi’s foundation stone with the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on the intervening night of September 28 and 29, 2013. He said that senior coalition partners (members) should explain as on whose behest this cheap act has been performed.
Mr Vakil said that these kinds of silly and nonsense acts of removing original foundation stones are condemnable. He said that history is witness to the fact that the era of Ghulam Nabi Azad in State is incomparable and unforgettable in terms of development and prosperity and none worth is for comparison and at par with him. He claimed that stealing and changing of foundation stones is the politics of highly `degraded’ standards.
