Jammu, Jan 27: President Jammu and Kashmir Bachao Tehreek and former Minister Abdul Gani Vakil today demanded thorough probe into the recruitments made for the last two years in different departments of the State.
In a statement issued here, Vakil said the probe should be done by sitting High Court judges because most of the recruitments are political recruitments and all the rules and regulations have been left aside in the process.
“All the norms have been thrown to wind while making these recruitments. Whether these recruitments have been made permanent or temporary but no norms were considered at the time of recruitment,” Vakil said.
He alleged that the ruling party PDP and BJP and the opposition NC are in hand and glove and all of them are part of it. “The NC is also part of it as they have remained silent knowing such irregularities have taken place,” Vakil added.
The former Minister said that it is an admitted fact that both PDP and NC have a secret back to save their own interests out of the dynastic rule. “That is why there are different corruption cases pending in different courts against the ex-ministers, politicians and bureaucrats,” he said.
Vakil said whenever they are in power nobody takes any interest in activating the legal agency to settle these issues.
He sought the intervention of Governor N N Vohra to take a serious note of this political mafia and get all these recruitments probed by sitting High court judges.
Meanwhile, Vakil said the similar recruitments have been also made in different Corporations like SIDCO and other autonomous bodies, where the selection criteria has been violated. “Nobody is taking it seriously. The Corporations have been made political mafia. The system has been made haphazard by political appointments,” he said.
