JAMMU, Aug 28: The State Government today ordered appointment of Rohit Kansal, Principal Secretary Planning Development and Monitoring Department as the Inquiry Officer to enquire into the use of Forest land for construction of PMGSY road in Reasi.
For the construction of said road from km 15 to Narla in Reasi Forest Division, 2.635 hectares of Forest land was allegedly used by the PMGSY officials in violation of the J&K Forest (Conservation) Act, 1997.
Rohit Kansal has replaced Kifayat Hussain Rizvi (Retd), the then Commissioner Secretary Labour & Employment Department.
The Inquiry Officer shall submit his report within a period of one month.
