US to launch LA Declaration on migration

Washington, June 8: US President Joe Biden announced on Wednesday that the Los Angeles declaration will be launched to manage migration.
On Friday, we’ll also come together to launch a Los Angeles Declaration, a groundbreaking, innovative new approach to managing migration and sharing responsibility across the hemisphere, Biden said. Biden said this at the opening ceremony of the Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles.
The opening ceremony was also addressed by Vice President Kamala Harris, California Governor Gavin Newsom, Peru President Pedro Castillo as well as Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti.
The Ninth Summit of the Americas is taking place in Los Angeles from Monday to Friday. (UNI)
