URNWC pleads for blacktopping of road

JAMMU, Feb 12: Upper Roop Nagar (Sector 4) Welfare Committee, has strongly pleaded the cause for the immediate blacktopping of  road starting from Aap Shambhu Temple water reservoir to its last end towards Janipur Colony.
Expressing concern over the delay in construction of this road, residents of the area said in a meeting held under the chairmanship of the president of the Committee, Narinder Sharma held that a pacca road is vital in view of the coming Maha Shivratri Festival falling on 27th of this month.
They maintained that sometimes people, particularly devotees get stumbled and injured while tracking on the kaccha shingled road.
Meanwhile, residents also put forth their demand for opening of Ayurvedic or Allopathic dispensary in their vicinity to meet exigencies. They pleaded that they have to travel about 1.5 km of distance by foot to get a tablet of medicine from the chemist shop, which is on the main road.
