BANI, Nov 16: Congress candidate from remote Bani constituency of district Kathua, Rajneesh Sharma alias Mian today said that major issues of this otherwise, neglected constituency have remained unaddressed.
Addressing series of public meetings at Gudru, Banjal, Kalta, Bodo, Leundi and Hal in Bani constituency today, Mian said that entire Bani constituency has faced neglect in last several decades and the respective representatives have not delivered good to the people. Many areas are without road connectivity. The condition of existing roads is worst. Many villages and hamlets are still not covered by electricity.
Mian pointed out that life of the people is very tough in this belt. Not only road but tele-communication/ mobile phone network is also very poor. He said that there is need to improve health, drinking water, education facilities. Even the people face problem due to shortage of ration and kerosene oil. The pace of development under RDD is also very slow. He assured the people to bring this constituency on fast track development if he is elected to power.
He claimed that only Congress Party can ensure better development in this neglected area. He appealed the people to support him in the coming election.
Sarpanch Ajit Kumar, while speaking on the occasion, appealed the people to support son (Mian) of former DyCM Pt Mangat Ram Sharma from this constituency. He said that Mian’s father had also very attachment with this constituency and he contributed a lot for uplifting living standard of the people of this area. Hans Raj Padha, Des Raj and Roshan Lal also spoke on the occasion.
