GDC Udhampur holds induction program of IGNOU

UDHAMPUR, Nov 16: Study Centre of Indira Gandhi National Open University housed at Government Degree College Udhampur organized Induction programme for the students registered with the Centre in various courses for July 2014 session, today.
Speaking on the occasion Prof Sudhir Singh, Coordinator of the Centre said that IGNOU has devised a facilitative and interactive mode of communication with its learners through its website and publications. All the students were advised to know about various statutes of the University and they were acquainted with various academic processes to be held during the session for the students including distribution of the study material, he added.
He also advised the students regarding observing the deadlines for re-registration, assignment submission and examination form. Website URLs of IGNOU Delhi & Jammu, e-mail & contact numbers of the Centre were also informed to the students for their convenience.
Prof Romesh Chander Sharma, Incharge Counselling spoke in detail about the counseling schedules and Counsellors involved. Study material was also distributed among the students. Prof Jawed Sarvar also detailed about the distribution of Study Material.
About 700 students have enrolled themselves in various courses of the Centre for this session in addition to re-registered students.
