JAMMU, Mar 31: DK Upadhyaya, IG BSF, Silchar in Assam, has been transferred and posted as new IG BSF, Jammu Frontiers.
He will replace Rakesh Sharma, who retired today.
Meanwhile, Rakesh Sharma today, called on Governor N N Vohra at the State Secretariat here today.
Sharma briefed the Governor about the overall security situation in the area of his responsibility, particularly along the International Border in the Jammu region.
The Governor wished Sharma, who is superannuating today, good health and success in all his future endeavors.
