BJP has fulfilled the promise in revoking Article 370 that granted special status to the State of Jammu and Kashmir. This historical decision taken by the BJP Govt at the Centre has been appreciated broadly by the people. Some people may not agree to my view that abrogation of article 370 will benefit the people of the State in all domains viz-a-viz in the generation of employment, advancing of Centrally sponsored schemes, all incentives to the employees of the State as are enjoyed by the Central Govt employees, corruption that stands deeply rooted in the State will be checked, term for Assembly will be five years and Legislative Council ends, the huge drain on states exchequer so far. We will come to know other remifications after 31st Oct 2019.
After scrapping article 370, there are a number of opposition leaders in the State and at the national level who could not digest this landmark step taken by the BJP Govt at the Centre. No one can deny the fact that after revoking of Article 370 there remained complete peace in almost all the divisions of the State. Minor incidents may have taken place in some spots in the Valley but not a single casualty has taken place so far. In the past when opposition was at the helm of affairs whether at the Centre or in the State a record number of casualties took place.
Imposition of curfew to maintain law and order had remained a day-today affair in the past. Was not it human rights violation then? The exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley an ethenic cleaning was not a human rights violation for those who ruled the State. One is at a loss to understand the political stratagem of these leaders who raise their fingers against BJP for abrogation of article 370. These leaders stand now exposed in the eyes of people in this matter.
