JAMMU, July 14: The dead body of an unknown man of age about 45-50 years was recovered this evening from the bank of River Tawi near Gujjar Nagar bridge.
“On the information of reliable sources that a dead body is lying on bank of River Tawi, a police team rushed to the spot and shifted the body to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification/postmortem,” said a police officer of police post Gujjar Nagar.
He said that the deceased man is about 5 feet 6 inches tall and wearing a jeans pant. “In this connection, inquest proceeding under 174 CrPC has been initiated in police post Gujjar Nagar,” he further said and added that any information regarding identity and residential particulars about deceased may be communicated to police post Gujjar Nagar or PCR Jammu.
