United School Teachers Association highlights demands

KATHUA, Sept 3: A meeting of J&K United School Teachers Association (USTA), affiliated with School Teachers Federation of India, was held under the chairmanship of working president Pardeep Singh for discussing present education scenario and long pending demands of teaching community.
The meet demanded release of transfer orders of Teachers and Masters under ATD 2022 and suitable adjustments of those who are suffering from chronic and life consuming diseases.
The meet also demanded implementation of transfer policy for Grade 2 and Grade 3 teachers especially for married female, allocation of funds to facilitate biometric attendance and to maintain day to day expenditure especially in primary and middle schools, filling up vacant posts of Masters, Headmasters, Lecturers and fourth class by DPC and teachers by new appointments, regularization of all in charge Lecturers, Headmasters, ZEOs, and other officers, etc
While speaking on the occasion, Pardeep Singh expressed deep concern over the alleged lackadaisical attitude of Government towards the just and genuine long pending demands of teaching community.
Others who were present in the meeting, included Younus Rahi, Roop Chand, Rajeev Kumar, Kanta Devi, Sunil Thapa, Thudu Ram, Kishori Lal, Anju Saini, Sandesh Kumar, Zulifkar, Anuradha Devi and Raj Kumar.
