SHIRDI: Union Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari fell unconscious on Saturday while delivering a speech at the holy town of Shirdi in Ahmednagar district.
The senior BJP leader was there to campaign in favor of ally Shiv Sena candidate Sadashiv Lokhande.
Mr Gadkari was struck by the sudden medical emergency reportedly owing to a dip in the body’s sugar level.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Mr Gadkari’s health condition was stable and was being taken to Nagpur for better medical supervision, a BJP leader confirmed. (AGENICES)
