UGI to provide special scholarship for J&K students

JAMMU, Mar 9: Universal Group of Institutions, (UGI) Chandigarh has launched special scholarship program for J&K students. It has opened their office at Kachi Chawni.
Addressing a press conference, UGI executive director Dr D P Singh along with zonal head Manik Soodan said “UGI strongly strives to provide higher education to all meritorious students. We do not want that a capable student be debarred from receiving quality education. I am happy to see that we have been able to make this positive impact for large number of people across the country.
They said that “this year scholarship program was poised to reach larger section of students, economical weaker section SC/ST, sportspersons, defence, siblings, single girl child and parentless students”.
On the occasion, chief guest was Prof G M Bhatt (Rector Bhaderwah campus).
Believing strongly that economic conditions should not stop a bright student in having quality education at Universal Group of Institutions, UGI has started scholarship and financial aid program for J&K Students. Through this program UGI is planning to give benefits more than 500 meritorious students this year. This program has now become the largest private scholarship program for J&K students. So far scholarship worth rupees one crore has planned to be given to the students under this program.
