RAMBAN, Mar 9: With a view to ensure maximum participation of people in the forthcoming elections, on the directions of District Election Officer Ramban, M H Malik all the Booth Level Officers of district Ramban organized special camps in Assembly Constituency Ramban and Banihal at their respective locations.
The aim of organizing these camps was to read out the electoral rolls to people at their respective polling stations and register voters whose names were not included in the electoral rolls.
ADC Ramban Nawab Din visited Assembly Constituency Banihal for taking stock of the camps being organized by the BLOs and for ensuring basic minimum facilities at polling stations.
Similarly, ACR Ramban Dr Tahir Firdos, who is also Assistant Returning Officer for Assembly Constituency Ramban visited various polling stations at Higher Secondary School Ramban, MS Ser, HS Chanderkote, Kunfer, Champa, Batote for checking the attendance of BLOs at polling stations.
During this visit they also took stock of the basic minimum facilities present at the polling stations like, water, electricity, approach way etc. All the BLOs read out the electoral rolls before people. A large number of people were given Form 6 and registered in the electoral rolls on spot.
Further as per the directions of ECI all the BLOs were directed to ensure maximum enrollment of left out voters so that they do not feel any difficulty during the poll.
