JAMMU, Dec 27: Chief patron of National Panthers Party (NPP) Prof Bhim Singh today expressed serious concern over slow pace of work on Udhampur-Katra-Banihal railway line and alleged that it was being delayed deliberately.
Talking to media-persons at the party office here today, the NPP leader alleged that Congress Party was helping National Conference in J&K in the Dixon plan in Kashmir. He said surprisingly 11 km tunnel from Banihal to Qazigund was completed in a record time and the train traffic is being started from Banihal to Baramulla shortly but the other tunnels connecting Udhampur to Katra, Reasi and Banihal ranging from 2 to 3 kms have not been completed despite consuming so much of time. Even for the last more than ten years, the train service could not be provided up to Katra having distance of just 25 to 30 kms. He alleged that it was deliberate delay on the part of Union Government, at the behest of Abdullah family.
The NPP leader expressed doubts on the intentions of Central Government to bring rail from Qazigund to Banihal instead taking it from Jammu to Katra Mata Vaishnodevi, Reasi and Banihal. He alleged that Congress leadership was implementing Dixon plan in Kashmir in connivance with the Abdullah family.
Prof Singh further alleged that corruption has crossed all the limits, no action is being taken tainted ministers and there was no transparency and the governance visible in the State. He demanded dismissal of Omar- led Government in the State.
