Udhampur Attack: NIA shifts Naved to Delhi in special plane

JAMMU :  The Lashkar militant arrested alive in August 5 Udhampur attack was today shifted to New Delhi by the team of National Investigation Agency for further investigation.
“Mohammad Naved Yakub alias Usman Khan alias Qasim Khan this morning was shifted to New Delhi by the NIA team in a special aircraft,” reliable sources here said.
They said Naved may undergo narco test in the national capital as he was frequently changing his statements before the NIA during interrogation.
NIA chief Sharad Kumar had also arrived yesterday and personally questioned Naved.
He said scientific modes are being adopted to interrogate Naved.
The remand of Naved was extended by 14 days on August 11, who was already in the custody of National Investigating Agency.
“Naved Khan alias Usman Khan alias Qasim Khan, 20, who was arrested alive by the VDC members on August 5 during Udhampur attack was shifted to Jammu from Srinagar after he made certain revealations linked with the attack,” sources said.
The NIA team had also expressed unhappiness over disclosure of interrogation reports published in media claiming that it hampered the investigation.
Two BSF jawans and a militant was killed and one militant was arrested alive in Udhampur Terror attack on August 5.
