JAMMU, Dec 7: Police here today arrested two thieves and recovered stolen ornaments on their disclosure.
A complaint was lodged at Police Station Miran Sahib by one Tota Ram son of Milkhi Ram of Bena Garh Miran Sahib regarding theft in his house wherein some gold and silver ornaments were stolen.
In this regard, a case in FIR No. 164/2022 U/S 454/380 IPC was registered.
On this special police teams of Police Station Miran Sahib under the supervision of SDPO R.S Pura, Surinder Singh were constituted.
The team led by SHO Police Station Miran Sahib Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq took the help of CCTV footages of the area and along with timely human intervention he rounded up two suspects from Taili Basti Bari Brahmna.
The suspects were Shiv Dayal alias Sunny son of Rajinder Kumar of Taili Basti and Ayub Ahmed son of Shamasdeen of Taili Basti Samba.
During sustained questioning the accused confessed involvement in the theft and on their disclosure stolen gold and silver ornaments including 2 gold bangles, one gold ring, 2 silver payals, 1 gold Nath, 2 gold Kanta, 2 Gold Tika, 1 Gold Locket, 1 gold necklace and one gold coated chain were recovered.
Moreover, one motorcycle bearing Registration No. JK21H6151 was also recovered from them.
The accused Ayoub Ahmed is a habitual offender.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
