JAMMU, Apr 30: Bishnah Police arrested two persons and recovered illicit liquor from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information about sale of illicit liquor, a team from Bishnah Police Station conducted raid and apprehended two persons along with 20 litres of illicit liquor, which they were selling among the people to make illegitimate profits. Police team also destroyed 250 litres of lahan.
The arrested persons were identified as Bitta Ram alias Bitta, son of Teja Ram and Ajeet Kumar alias Danny, son of Tilak Raj, both residents of Village Chak Lala Tehsil Bishnah District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 71/2020 under section 48 (a) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Deepak Pathania and assisted by ASI Darshan Lal, SgCt Jai Paul, Constable Rakesh Kumar and SPO Sukh Dev Raj made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan and SP Headquarters Jammu Adil Hamid.
