Two peddlers held with 28.25 gms of heroin

JAMMU, Feb 3: Jammu Police today arrested two drug peddlers from different locations of the district and recovered 28.25 grams of heroin from their possession.
“During naka checking at Gangyal, a team of Police Station Gangyal constituted under the supervision of SDPO South Sachit Sharma and led by SHO Gangyal Inspector Ajaz Haider rounded up one suspect namely Krishan Gupta alias Ashu son of Kailash Chand Gupta, resident of House Number 890 (Talab Tillo, Jammu) when he was on his way from Bari Brahmana towards Kunjwani Chowk,” a police spokesman said.
He said during search, 25 grams of heroin was recovered from the possession of the suspect. “In this regard, a case FIR Number 17/2023 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Gangyal and the accused arrested,” he added.
The spokesman said at another naka, a team of Police Station Bishnah constituted under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh and led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Vikram Sharma rounded up one suspect identified as Deepak Kumar alias Deepu son of Shudagar Mal, resident of Bahdurkhan (Bishnah).
He said on search, 3.25 grams of heroin was recovered from the possession of the accused and accordingly, a case under FIR Number 38/2023 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Bishnah and the accused got arrested.
