UDHAMPUR, Feb 3: A Science Quiz competition for Udhampur Zone was held at Govt Girls High School, Udhampur the other day.
Chief Education Officer, Udhampur, A K Koul was the chief guest while Headmaster, GGHS, Udhampur, Nek Ram as guest of honour. The entire contest was supervised by Zonal Education Planning Officer Udhampur, Rajesh Sharma. 171 students drawn from 50 Govt Middle schools, divided in seven clusters, participated in the quiz contest.
The winning teams were rewarded with cash prizes of Rs 1500, Rs 1200 and Rs 900 for Ist, 2nd and 3rd positions, respectively. Central Middle School Udhampur secured Ist position, Middle School Sansoo second while, Govt Middle School Jakhar Khuian, bagged third position.
