Two nabbed with cocaine, heroin

JAMMU, Nov 22: Satwari police today claimed to have arrested two drug peddlers including a woman with 7 grams of cocaine, 25 grams of heroin and some cash.
The duo was arrested during naka checking at Chatha road, police sources said. They said an active naka was laid by a police team of police station Satwari led by SHO Inspector Deepak Jasrotia assisted by I/c police post Gadigarh Inspector Lakvir Singh and during naka checking, the team rounded up two suspects on a scooty, who turned suspicious on seeing police naka.
“On search, 7 grams of cocaine was recovered from the dickey of the vehicle, along with a weighing machine and 25 grams of heroin and a cash amount of Rs 27,600 from the possession of suspects, who were later identified as Iqbal Singh alias Vicky Langada son of late Ranjeet Singh and Ravinder Kour alias Neetu, resident of Bhour Pind near Peer Baba,” sources said.
They said that a case FIR Number 268/21 under Sections 8/21/22/25 of NDPS Act was registered in this connection at police station Satwari and both the accused were arrested.
The overall arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of SDPO City South PK Mengi. Further investigation of the case was going on.
