Two more held in Phallian Mandal weapon dropping

Jammu, Oct 21: Jammu Police today arrested two persons from Anantnag district of Kashmir in October 2 Phallian Mandal weapon dropping case and shifted them to Jammu for questioning.
They have been identified as Selection Grade Constable Ishfaq Malik of Verinag and Ghulam Rasool of Anantnag.
Two persons have been arrested from Anantnag in connection with the weapon dropping case in Phallian Mandal area of Makwal under the jurisdiction of Satwari Police Station, police sources said.
They said that the duo has been brought to Jammu for further questioning.
The arrested persons were in contact with the handler in Pakistan and they had information about the weapons dropped by drones, they said.
Earlier one person was taken into custody in this case and during his interrogation, some vital clues were received by a special investigating team and an OGW from Anantnag was put under scanner who was found in constant touch with some militant outfits from across the border.
The terror associate has also confessed that he was in continuous touch with handlers across the border and is also associated with LeT, said police.
One AK series rifle, three magazines, 30 rounds, and one Optical sight was recovered from the site of air weapon dropping.
