KATHUA, Dec 1: An octogenarian died in a road accident at village Sakta Chak in Kathua while crossing the National Highway this afternoon.
He was identified as Jagar Singh , S/o Mata Singh of village Sakta. He was taken to District Hospital Kathua where from doctors referred him to GMC Jammu where he succumbed to his injuries later.
The Kathua Police has registered a case under relevant sections of the law.
Meanwhile a lady who was injured in a road accident at 17 Miles in Vijaypur area of Samba district on November 29 and was admitted in GMC Jammu for treatment succumbed to her injuries in hospital today.
She has been identified as Sabita, 45, W/o Dheeraj of Vijaypur. Her body has been kept in mortuary at GMC and after autopsy it will be handed over to family members tomorrow for last rites. Vijaypur Police has registered a case under relevant sections of law.
