JAMMU, Mar 3: Two persons were killed and one injured when a speeding car collided with a tractor-trolley in Sidhra area of city outskirts.
“The mishap occurred late last night near Golf Course gate when one tractor-trolley (bearing registration number JK02CU-1807) allegedly entered the wrong tube of the Road and the speeding car (Honda Amaze) bearing registration number JK02CQ-8145 hit the tractor-trolley,” police sources said.
They said four young boys were travelling in the car and three of them received serious injuries. “The injured boys were immediately rushed to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu, where two of them were declared as brought dead by the doctors,” sources added.
Sources informed that the deceased were identified as Aman Dev Singh son of Raj Dev Singh and Tarun Bali son of Neelam Bali, both residents of New Plot (Jammu) while the injured person was identified as Kunal Sharma of Panjtirthi.
In this connection, a case under relevant sections of law was registered against tractor driver namely Rasheed son of Kaka, resident of Dangyali Majeen (Sidhra) at police station Nagrota and the accused was arrested. Further investigation into the case was going on.
