Two killed in separate road mishaps, one dies of electrocution

JAMMU, July 26: Two persons were killed today in separate road mishaps while a man died due to electrocution at his residence in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, two youth identified as Rajat Singh (20) son of Inder Singh and Muneshwar Singh (18) son of Mohan Lal, both residents of Top Sherkhania (Jammu), were on their way from Udhampur to Jammu on a bike bearing registration number JK02BK-1120, when it hit the divider of the road near Salora falling under the jurisdiction of police station Tikri.
As the bike was in high speed, both the occupants received serious injuries. They were immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where Rajat was declared as brought dead by the doctors while Muneshwar is under doctors’ observation.
The dead body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for conducting post mortem tomorrow.
Meanwhile, an accident victim identified Krishan Lal (50) son of Sukh Ram, a resident of Churta (Jhajjar Kotli), who was undergoing treatment at GMCH Jammu succumbed to his injuries late last night. The body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for conducting last rites after conducting post mortem today.
A man died today due to electrocution at his temporary residence in Durga Nagar area of city outskirts. The deceased has been identified as Jagjeet Singh (40) son of Maloop Singh, a resident of Jakhri, Dinanagar in Punjab. He was presently living in Sector No 1, Durga Nagar, Jammu. The body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites after conducting post mortem.
In all cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance.
