Two killed, 3 injured in Narwal accident

JAMMU, June 22: Two persons were killed and three others injured this evening in a tragic road accident in Narwal area of City outskirts.
According to the reports, a Swift car bearing registration number JK02BK-6430 being driven rashly and in a negligent manner from Nagrota towards Narwal, on reaching near Rajeev Nagar crossed the divider of the road and collided with a Tata 207 vehicle (bearing registration number JK14D-4169) after the driver lost control over it.

In the mishap, five persons travelling in the car received serious injuries. They were immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu by a team of Narwal police but two of the injured were declared as brought dead by the doctors in the Hospital.
The deceased were identified as Manav Banotra (24) son of Madan Lal and Manat (25) son of Chander Parkash, both residents of Gorkha Nagar (Jammu) while the three injured persons were identified as Abhishek (23) son of Karan of Manyal, Anand Kumar (24) son of Darshan Kumar of Sarwal and Nikhil Kumar son of Kalidass of Bagh-e-Bahu.
The bodies of the deceased were shifted in mortuary room of the Hospital while a case in this connection was registered at police station Trikuta Nagar and further investigation initiated.
