KATHUA, Nov 25: Two persons were killed while two others were injured in two separate road accidents in Kathua and Samba districts today.
According to police a 55 year old lady Gudo Devi, wife of Chuni Lal of Palli died after she was hit by a motor cycle while she was crossing the National Highway at Palli More.
Police said the motorcycle bearing registration number JK02B Q7892 was on way from Pathankot to Jammu and it was in high speed.
Among the two motorcyclists one managed to flee while another was arrested by Kathua Police which also seized the bike. The Kathua Police has registered a case under Section 304 RPC and started a manhunt for another motorcyclist.
In another incident at Kartholi Bari Brahmana in Samba district today an unknown truck hit an auto bearing registration number JK02AP /1181 resulting into the death of one person and injury to two others.
The deceased has been identified as Ravinder Ahirwa, 24, S/o Ghan Sham of MP while the injured were identified as Yash Paul Singh, S/o Kashmir Singh of Dera Baba Nanak Punjab and Mantu Kumar, S/o Chajju Ram of Jakh Vijaypur. The injured were taken to GMC Jammu for treatment and Bari Brahmana Police Station has registered a case under relevant sections of the law.
